Big Heart Theater offers workshops and play creation

• Workshops: For groups of adults and teens with IDD for $100/hr with a 2 hour minimum.

  • Best for 10-20 students with at least one facility support staff.

  • Can be a one-off experience or a series of lessons that build toward a richer goal.

  • All supplies are included in the cost

  • Times and dates are widely available including evenings and weekends.

• Play creation: For hosting organizations for a cast of 10-15 adults and teens with IDD. For pricing contact Lisa Lee Schmidt at lisaleeschmidt@gmail.com.

  • 12-14 rehearsals needed to create a musical play with a cast of 10-15. Rehearsals are 2 hours long. Plays are traditionally 30 minutes long.

  • Non-verbal participants must be accompanied by host site staff/volunteer.

  • All participants must be able to use the bathroom by themselves.

  • Cost includes singing, dancing, acting instruction; sets, costumes, and props. Varies depending on host organization goals and number of available staff or volunteers.
